Diamonds are graded using the “4 Cs” (Cut, Color, Clarity & Carat Weight)
Cut
Measures: How well a diamond has been shaped and faceted from its raw form.
Why it matters: The cut directly affects a diamond’s sparkle, brilliance, and how light reflects through it.
Grades:
Excellent
Very Good
Good
Fair
Poor
Color
Measures: The absence of color in a diamond.
Why it matters: The less color, the rarer and more valuable the diamond (unless it's a fancy-colored diamond like pink or yellow).
Grades:
D (completely colorless) to Z (noticeable yellow or brown tint)
Clarity
Measures: The number and visibility of inclusions (internal flaws) and blemishes (surface flaws).
Why it matters: Fewer imperfections mean better brilliance and higher value.
Grades:
FL – Flawless
IF – Internally Flawless
VVS1 / VVS2 – Very, Very Slight Inclusions
VS1 / VS2 – Very Slight Inclusions
SI1 / SI2 – Slight Inclusions
I1 / I2 / I3 – Included (visible flaws)
Carat Weight
Measures: A diamond’s weight, not its size (though they're related).
Why it matters: Larger diamonds are rarer and typically more valuable.
1 carat = 200 milligrams
The 4 C’s together define a diamond’s grading.
All of the diamonds we source are certified.

Natural Diamond
Formed: Naturally over billions of years deep within the Earth
Origin: Mined from the Earth
Price point: Generally more expensive due to rarity and traditional market value
Uniqueness: Each stone is truly one-of-a-kind due to natural formation
Resale Value: Typically holds better resale value and is often seen as more "traditional" for heirlooms
Lab-Grown Diamond
Formed: Created in a lab using advanced technology that replicates natural diamond formation (HPHT or CVD methods)
Origin: Ethical and sustainable — no mining required
Price point: 30–50% less expensive than natural diamonds
Chemical/Visual Properties: Identical to natural diamonds — same hardness, brilliance, and sparkle
Uniqueness: May be slightly more uniform, but still unique in cut and clarity
Resale Value: Currently lower resale value than natural diamonds
Certification: Also graded by GIA, IGI, etc., using the same 4 Cs
Perception: Gaining popularity for ethical, sustainable, and budget-conscious buyers

Choosing between natural and lab-grown diamonds is a personal preference, but many of our clients are drawn to lab-grown options for their ethical sourcing, minimal environmental impact, and remarkable beauty — all at a more accessible price point, without compromising on luxury or quality.
-
We get asked this often, and the truth is: to the naked eye, no, you cannot tell the difference between a lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond.
Both are chemically, physically, and optically identical, meaning they look the same in brilliance, sparkle, and overall beauty.
Trained gemologists need specialized equipment to distinguish between the two.
The only real differences are in origin, price, and sourcing practices — not in quality or appearance.

We recommend going to your local jeweler or fine jewelry retailer to get sized.
You can also purchase a ring sizer via Amazon.
Please note: if you want to design a ring that is thicker in width or diameter, you’ll want to tell the person measuring you that!
Diameter: Refers to the inside measurement of the ring from one side to the other This determines the ring size.
Width: Refers to the thickness of the band when looking at the ring from the top view (how much of your finger it covers vertically).
